Copy Bone Animation to Selected

Copy Bone Animation to Selected is available in Pose Mode only. Select each target bone you want to receive animation, then select the source (the bone whose animation you want to copy) last to make it the active bone (Shift+click). Right‑click to open the AnimCopy menu and run the operator.

Select Copy Bone Animation to Selected, and all the selected bones (the ones you selected before the active bone) will receive the remapped animation data you specify in the Redo Panel. The operator remaps the bone data path preserving keyframes, handles, interpolation, modifiers and groups.

Shared Action (New Slot)

The Shared Action (New Slot) toggle controls how copied F-Curves are assigned when Blender’s Action Slot API is available (Blender 4.4+). Instead of duplicating the entire Action for each target, you can choose to share the original Action and create a new slot for each target.

  • Enabled: All selected targets share the active object’s Action. A new named slot (matching the target’s name) is created inside that shared Action for each target, keeping all curves together in one Action data-block.
  • Disabled: Each target gets its own separate copy of the Action. This preserves the original Action on the active object and places the copied curves into new Action data-blocks for each target.

Copy Modifiers

The Active Object’s F-Curve Modifiers will be copied.

Copy Mode

Copy Mode determines how the F-Curves are applied to the target objects. You can choose between:

  • Replace: Remove any matching F-Curves on the target and overwrite them with the copied ones—ideal for a clean swap.
  • Add: Append the copied keyframes to existing F-Curves on the target—useful for layering or extending animations.

Frame Offset

Frame Offset shifts all copied keyframes by the specified number of frames, allowing you to time-offset the animation on the target.

Remap X, Y, Z

Adjust the axis mapping for rigs with different bone or control orientations. Applies to armature objects and their pose bones.

Paste Extrapolation

Toggle whether the extrapolation mode of the source F-Curve is also applied to the copied curves.
