Go Panel Tips
Here are some useful tips for getting the most out of Go Panel:
Pinning the Go Panel

If you want the Go Panel to stay active when you switch your add-on or tool, you can use Blender’s Panel Pin switch. Simply right-click the Go Panel‘s grip icon to pin the Panel.
New Window

You may also consider creating a separate window for the Go Panel by going to Window > New Main Window. In the new window, join all the areas and make it a 3D Viewport. There are apps like DeskPins (Windows) that will give you an option to keep the floating window always on top of your workspace.
Quick Adding via Context Menus
One of the most powerful features in Go Panel v2.0 is the ability to quickly add items via right-click context menus:
- Operators: Right-click any menu command in Blender and choose “Add to Go Panel”
- Brushes: Right-click any brush in the Asset Browser/Shelf and choose “Add to Go Panel”
- Remove: Right-click any Go Panel button to quickly remove it
This makes customizing your workflow faster than ever before.
Organizing Your Custom Tray
The Custom Tray is perfect for creating a personalized quick-access toolbar. Consider:
- Adding frequently-used operators that normally require multiple menu clicks
- Using object type filters to show only relevant operators
- Enabling “Icon Only Buttons” for a more compact layout
- Setting up mode-switching operators to streamline your workflow
Brush Asset Libraries
To get the most out of the Brushes feature:
- Start by exploring the Essentials asset library that comes with Blender
- Create your own custom brush libraries by marking brushes as assets in your .blend files
- Use the “Override Settings” in the Brushes preferences if Go Panel misdetects a brush’s object type or mode
- Reorder brushes in the list to match your preferred workflow
Embedding the Go Panel in Existing Panels
If you want to place the Go Panel inside an existing panel such as Item, Tool, or View, simply go to Interface Tab > Panel Name and change it to the name of the desired panel (e.g., Item, Tool, or View).
